What residential care includes

Support with daily life, at a pace that suits each person

Before anyone moves in, we visit them at home or in hospital to understand their needs, their routines and what matters to them. That becomes a care plan written with them and their family, and reviewed as needs change.

  • Help with washing, bathing, dressing and personal care
  • Medication managed and given by trained staff
  • Meals, drinks and snacks throughout the day, with special diets catered for
  • Laundry and housekeeping
  • Visits from the GP, the district nurses and our chiropodist
  • Activities, trips out and time in the garden

Your own room

A private room you can make your own

All 28 bedrooms at Freckleton Lodge are single rooms with an en-suite toilet and washbasin, and each has points for a telephone and television. Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture, pictures and ornaments, so their room feels familiar from the first day.

Pets are welcome by arrangement. Talk to us about your circumstances and we will do our best to help.

One level throughout

The home is purpose built on a single storey, so there are no stairs or lifts between bedrooms and communal rooms.

A garden to enjoy

A large, secluded garden with a patio, lawn and a summer house, where residents can sit out, stroll and enjoy the flowers.

Families welcome

Visitors are welcome at any time, and families can join their relative for a meal.

Who is residential care for?

No. Freckleton Lodge is a residential care home. Nursing needs are met by the local district nursing team, who visit residents at the home, and by the local GP practice.

How much does residential care cost?

Weekly fees for permanent residential care start from £1,250, depending on the room and the level of care needed. See our fees and funding page for more detail.
